The following table describes the behavior of Microsoft JScript bitwise operators. The columns and rows represent the different types of expressions possible on either side of an bitwise operator in JScript, and the entries in the table describe the behavior.

This table applies to the following bitwise operators:


An E in the table indicates a run-time error and an N indicates a numeric result.
