Almost every page on the Techref has a small form attached to the bottom that allows you to add your own comments, links, and entire web pages to the site. PLEASE DO SO!
The update form adds:
The owner of the page will be emailed to let them know that feedback has been posted.
We call this TANSTAAFL web hosting. We don't charge, but we do:
If the 'Private' box is checked, any content you add will be removed from pages before they are shown to other members or non-members and will not be published. Private information will never be released except as required by law-enforcement officers.
And now the exception that proves the rule: Pages with addresses that end in .html rather than .htm do NOT have any form added to them. This is to allow people to set up their own pages with out interference from the techref system. These pages can still be edited by their owners, but comments can't be placed on the page by anyone else. I hope that most people will NOT start these "protected" pages, but I do understand that sometimes this is desireable.
Here is an example of the form and how to use it.
And here is the result of that use. We hope better questions will be posted <grin>
